350 per day for 12 month contract - Network support analyst delivering ongoing operational support as well as continually improving process and delivery of services.

The primary functions of this role are the operational duties and various service delivery elements within Group. The incumbent will be responsible for standard network operations duties including backup/restore requests, tape handling operations, Active Directory administration requests such as NTFS permission issues, login script changes and other similar matters. In addition, he or she will be responsible for continually striving to improve the service delivery levels which are offered by the Group. This may be achieved by performing trend analysis reports using the service desk tools available, as well as regularly producing a variety of reports around areas such as service availability and capacity planning. Analysis of this information may lead to suggestions for procedural changes within the team or the introduction of better documentation for use by the group (or potentially end-users). Alternatively, a need may be identified for a technical change (which would be managed by the Network Engineers) and raising this need with the Infrastructure Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties will include:
Operational tasks within the Group such as network backups and restore requests.
Regular periodic testing of restore procedures for London and other international sites.
Monitor incidents assigned and either resolve or assign to relevant network engineer.
Follow up outstanding tickets to ensure resolution is in progress and interested parties are notified by ticket updates or by email.
Requirements:
Understanding of concepts of the ITIL framework or experience working within ITIL environment.
The incumbent must have experience using the following:
Veritas Netbackup 5.0 or higher
Lotus Notes 5.0 or higher
Windows Server 2000/2003 and AD administration experience
General networking knowledge and understanding of LAN/WAN concepts such as:
DHCP
DNS
VPNs
VLANS
Familiarity of the following, while not critical, would beneficial:
Lotus Domino Server administration 
BMC Service Desk Express (SDE)
Cisco IP telephony administration (CCM and CCME)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Dell PowerEdge server hardware
Cisco switch/Routers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Methodical analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Strong documentation skills and appreciation of process and procedure
