Business Analyst
<p><strong><u>Specific Role Details:<br /> </u></strong>Understand, document, and communicate all requirements<br /> Ensure that non-functional requirements are gathered and planned for<br /> Guard against vague or poor quality input by encouraging excellence in requirement documentation and helping stakeholders think through details and implications<br /> Test the understanding and expectations of all stakeholders, and then test again!<br /> Evaluate requirements and translate visions and commercial goals into “buildable” specifications by distilling requirement from aspiration<br /> Resolve conflicting expectations and priorities<br /> Guard against bad ideas by coaching a habit of good cost/benefit analysis across the business<br /> Produce functional specifications using tools such as use cases<br /> Produce product roadmaps and negotiate with stakeholders to correctly order work<br /> Engage experts such as architects and designers<br /> Manage the input of 3rd parties, and effectively impart understanding on them</p> <p>Candidate Profile:<br /> Experience in business analysis, working independently and as part of multiple teams to keep both stakeholders and delivery teams focussed on the top priorities<br /> Able to ask tough questions and challenge assumptions in order to provide confidence in the feasibility of plans and commitments<br /> Able to effectively communicate with specialists such as engineers and traders, just as comfortable in front of the board as with individual contributors<br /> Experience working with 3rd parties and delivering quality specifications across geographic and organisational boundaries<br /> Background in the online world or in content providers, and experience with complex IT projects is a must<br /> Enthusiasm, energy, and strong interpersonal skills will be key to success in this environment<br /> Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while also spotting dependencies and opportunities where these threads intersect<br /> Desire to be visible and involved in all aspects of a successful, internet-based business without being stuck behind a desk!</p>
