SQL Server Developer
Asentis on behalf of a leading managed communications service provider is looking to hire a highly talented SQL Server Developer Their integrated communications services encompass IP and mobile telephony, converged networks, unified communications, contact centres and document solutions to help organisations transform ICT into a strategic assets.
Job Accountabilities:
- Review, analyse and interpret requirements as directed by the Systems Development Project Plan.
- Bring crucial analytics to business solutions.
- Expertise in relational and multidimensional databases.
- Support existing Database applications.
- Review, recommend and optimise existing SQL Queries.
- ETL using T-SQL and SSIS.
- Work with complex financial transactional database models.
- Work in a team environment to deliver high quality solutions
- Create objects; write SPs, triggers, views, joins, indexes, locks and other any other development related objects.
- Use SSRS to deliver quality and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
Job knowledge
- Experience working as a SQL Developer.
- MS SQL Server (2005/2008/2008R2) - MS SQL Server 2008R2 not necessary but advantageous.
- SSRS 2008 - Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 (R2 advantageous).
- SSIS 2008 – Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (R2 Advantageous).
- T-SQL – Stored Procedures, Views, Triggers, Cursors, Functions, etc.
- SSAS 2008 – Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Server (Advantageous)
- Microsoft Excel (Advantageous)
- Microsoft PowerPivot (Advantageous)
- Microsoft SharePoint 2010 (Advantageous)
- DBA Experience (Advantageous)
Experience
- Solid recent commercial experience with recent SQL Server/SSRS
- Any Business Intelligence Experience Advantageous
- SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008
- SQL Server 2008R2 advantageous
- Demonstrable SQL DBA Skills advantageous
- Relevant Microsoft Accreditation – advantageous.
